sooooooo glad i decided not to stay home and wallow in my misery. the show was FANTASTIC! i loved it! met
sholanda there. we got there early because all hell would have broken loose if i missed the upsidedown.
the upsidedown were awesome! i was so excited to see them, except i wish they had been the 2nd opening band instead of the first. "hot country!" and the harmonica! and the sparks! ever since i heard them on myspace, i've been in love. they were so good! silver wind has been my favorite song lately and they rocked it. airplane eyes is my other one and they did that as well! i can't wait to see them again. besides those two, the other ones i can remember them playing are: if you are hell girl, halo, human destination, and umbrella. but those are also the only song titles i remember. i just listen to them, i don't pay attention to track names. ah! seriously can't wait to see them again. they were great.
a place to bury strangers were ok. i'm not super into them. they played for about 10 hours.
and then it was the dandys!!! i loved the backdrop lighting setup thing. courtney was entertaiing, totally making us giggle. they pretty much just played 13 tales, monkeyhouse and earth to the dandy warhols, and a few songs off come down. i was really hoping to hear white gold but i always want them to play that. songs i can remember in no particular order: godless, boho, we used to be friends, mission control, third world, outlaw truckers, i love you, boys better, love song, get off, and country leaver. there's a lot more but i'm still kind of asleep.
i wish i was still at the show!
