i'm a genius
Mar. 5th, 2008 08:46 ami feel like i'm full of brilliant ideas, even though i'm really not.
i've had 2 picture frames that have been sitting on my floor because i couldn't put them up for the life of me. as in, i couldn't line up the hooks just right so the little metal clip thingys would latch on.
last night, i FINALLY put them up! i had a genius idea. get some damn string! tie it up between to the two clip things, then hang it on the hook by the string. yep, BRILLIANT! wait while i take a moment to pat myself on the back.
so yeah. i cruised on over to the rite aid, but the motherfuckers didn't sell string. wtf! so i bought some shoelaces instead. like you can go wrong for $1. then i went home and...
voila! my home is starting to look more homey. it's all crooked and the frames don't match, but i don't fucking care! i'm debating getting some window scarfs. to spice it up a little. i don't want full on curtains since the cat likes jumping in and out of the blinds. but a scarf or a valance might be kind of nice, yeah?
as for brilliant idea #2: i'm starting a work blog. that way i have some kind of documentation so i'm not sitting here going "did i pay with our check or an owner check? i know i applied for 3 meters, but was i denied for two? what happened with the engineer? what day did i go down there?" i have to be diligent about it though. we'll see.
in other news, i do not care too much for wishy-washy people who don't know what to do then ask me for advice then don't listen to me and continue to be wishy-washy while still constantly asking me what they should do. but the bitch quit today, so it's ok. she's sweet and i'm gonna miss her, but i'm so not gonna miss that.
